Shalva

Hey, gorgeous! I’m Shalva! I was born and raised in Baltimore and now proudly serve my hometown community.

 

I’m coming up on 7 years as a hairstylist, and I have never been more in love with my clients or my craft. I specialize in vivids/fantasy color, hidden hand tied extensions, and balayages. I take great pride my efforts to prioritize furthering my education. I attend a few classes every month to keep my skills sharp and to stay up to date on the latest trends.

Hair has been my passion since I was 5 years old. Growing up I wasn’t able to express myself or my individuality the way I wanted to for the first 18 years of my life.

 

The first time I FINALLY was able to get my hair colored I felt like I could fly! I could finally stand out and show the world who I really was. The confidence it gave me was something I had never experienced before, and that is the exact feeling I want my clients to feel after being in my chair. 

 

I understand that all of my clients don’t walk into the salon wanting the same experience. Some people want connection and conversation, somone to talk to or somone to listen. Others want to relax in silence. Whether you had a hell of a day at work and just want peace and quiet, or you just don’t feel like having conversation, you have the option to request a silent appointment. If you want to kiki and spill the tea I’m here for YOU so I am happy to learn the exact kind of experience you want. I also like to educate my clients in aftercare, whether it’s product recommendations or how to maintain the style/look/color so it looks the best it can for the longest it can. I’m always happy to share my knowledge. 

 

In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my girlfriend. We love our vacations, going to soundbaths, and getting massages because self care is key! I get to spread love and positivity in my community once a month when I give free haircuts at Charm City Care Connection. They are a resource and drop in center for folks who are affected by homelessness and addiction in Baltimore city.
